Proficiency Tests
- Proficiency tests are offered as a means of placement for a variety of college-level courses.
|
- Successful scores on proficiency tests allow students to register for a higher level course within the same discipline sequence.
|
- Successful proficiency test scores carry no course credit.
|
- Proficiency test registration forms can be obtained in Room S-127.
|
- There is a $30 non-refundable/non-transferable fee for each proficiency test taken.
|
- Proficiency tests are offered in the following subjects: Intermediate Algebra (MAT045), Intro to Chemistry (CHM100) and Pre-Calculus (MAT180)

- Please Note: The practice test for each subject should be used in conjunction with additional resources i.e. course textbooks. DO NOT RELY solely on the review material provided as preparation for the tests. The use of a scientific calculator is permitted (non-programmable, non-graphing).
