Keyword Searching

While using a subject search provides a focused approach, there are times when you need to search multiple words or phrases that are not recognized Library of Congress subject headings.

Although you may have to sort through catalog records that are not on your topic, you should be able to find one or two and use their subject headings to get to the desired items.

Keyword searches may produce catalog records that are not on your topic, but you should be able to look through the records and retrieve some relevant sources.  These may provide useful Library of Congress Subject Headings.
