IT Project Coordinator
 
The IT Project Coordinator will plan, execute, and finalize IT projects to ensure completion of projects with strict deadlines and within budget.  Responsibilities include analyzing needs, defining project objectives and overseeing quality control throughout the project life cycle, revising work plans as needed to meet changing needs and requirements, as well as designing and maintaining technical and project documentation.  The Coordinator will also coordinate and lead activities related to IT projects, including budget tracking and monitoring, reporting project status and metrics, and ensuring adherence to methods and procedures.   Will identify and solve project issues as well as perform other duties as assigned. 
 
Required:  Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related technical field (Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent a plus); and two plus years demonstrated experience leading projects in an IT environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have scheduling and budgetary management experience and proven track record for promoting and sustaining excellent customer service.  Must be familiar with IT Governance and Best Practices.  Excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills required.  Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills, the ability to work with a diverse population and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a very fast-paced environment.  Demonstrate proficiency with Project Management software (e.g. MS Project). Periodic on-call availability and flexible work hours based upon project deliverables.  Must be able to lift and transport moderately heavy objects. Experience directing and / or coordinating third party vendor resources and previous experience working in higher education are a plus.
