A MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT RYAN
Dear Bergen Community College,
I’m pleased to announce the grand opening of Gallery Bergen to the College’s newest academic building, West Hall. As an institution of higher learning, it’s important that our students develop an appreciation for different types of art, including painting, drawing, art history and technological works. Gallery Bergen is an important cultural resource because it brings the College, art community, and members of the general public together in an effort to create an inclusive learning environment.
The College is committed to expanding our students’ knowledge of art through gallery exhibitions, presentations and discussions, as well as individualized and in-class training. The students receive this first-rate instruction in West Hall, a high-tech facility that houses artists’ studios and classrooms. The building also features multimedia laboratories, outfitted with Avid solutions, a technological system that allows students to focus their attention on the creation of artistic works. These state-of-the-art services will enhance the learning engagement process for our students.
I look forward to seeing you at Gallery Bergen.
G. Jeremiah Ryan
President, Bergen Community College
