Dr. Cronk read a "Tribute to Neil Ender" which he had prepared. He
outlined Neil's heavy involvement in and accomplishments for Bergen Community
College, which were innumerable. He told of his deep grief from losing Neil
as good friend, colleague, and as a father figure. At the end he played a recording
of George Jones singing "A Picture Of Me Without You." Then others
told of their great admiration of Neil, of his contributions to BCC from which
we benefit, and what a loss his departure is to all. (Click

REMEDIAL ALGEBRA SENATE RESOLUTION
Professor Orlando pointed out that on page 31 of the 2001-2002 College catalog
under Degree Requirements it is stated: "Students in all degree programs
and in certain certificate programs are required to successfully complete a
course in basic algebra if their placement tests indicate this need." He
stated that if this resolution were to be passed, this statement in the catalog
would have to be revised.
A motion was made to table this resolution and send it back
to the departments to have it go through the proper channels (Curriculum Committee
