Nearing Close of Day in Las Trampas This was shot in July in New Mexico, near a town called Las Trampas. I was driving a winding back road when I happened upon a plateau area overlooking this scene. I had only a few minutes, and only two rolls of film. It was late in the day, and I was struck by the clarity in the air, and the long deepening shadows as the sun went down. All was unbelievably silent, and I think the piece captures that sense of day's end. |
