5.2.3 Find a study partner or form a study group
Some students like to identify a study partner or form a study group. One way to identify people you might like to study with is to review their introductions. You may find others with interests similar to your own. If so, consider emailing them to determine whether they might be interested.
If you do choose a study partner or form a study group, you can request that I set up an area of the online course that only you and your study partner(s) will have access to. If so, one person from each group should e-mail me and list clearly the members of the study group. Once I create the group you'll find it in as a separate topic in the Discussions area. You will only be able to see the group you're in. No one else will have access to it, including myself.
Although students sometimes give out personal contact information to their study partners, I don't generally recommend that students exchange home addresses or home telephone numbers. Use the virtual study space I can create for you.
Finding a study partner or forming a study group is only a suggestion. You're not required to participate, and not doing so will not affect your class participation grade.
