Let's face it. Textbooks are expensive. Fortunately, most of  the classic texts in philosophy are available in inexpensive  paperback editions and often on-line in electronic form.
However, if you find that you must purchase an expensive  text, you may be able to purchase or rent an electronic copy  of it for significantly less than what the text would cost you  as a hardback.
Below are a series of web sites that you may want to check  out. I have used some of them, but not all, in my courses,  and students have reported being satisfied. HOWEVER,  before you purchase or rent an electronic version of your text  be sure to check out the details carefully, and you should  probably check with your instructor to make sure that s/he  has no objection.
Please email me at mredmond@bergen.edu, if you used any of these sites, to let me know what your experience was.
