A practical, hands-on course that is designed to give the student experience in writing, directing, and producing a variety of television programs. Students apply theories, principles and skills of TV and videotape techniques through camera usage, control room operations, and videotape editing.

*SHOT BOOKS
After reading Chapter 6: ÒLooking Through The ViewfinderÓ, using photos from magazines or newspapers, compile a shot book (scrap book format) of all of the shots discussed in this chapter. Your photos must be labeled, e.g. long shot (LS) and framed in either a 4X3 Aspect Ratio or 16X9 Aspect Ratio frame. This assignment is worth 100 points and will be due on Tuesday, February 12, 2008.

**MOMENT IN TIME
After reading Chapter 7: ÒLight, Color, and LightingÓ, create a simple light plot sketch for an historical moment in time, e.g. the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln.
This assignment is worth 100 points and will be due on Tuesday, April 29, 2008.

Absolutely no assignments from 01/18/08 through 02/25/08 will be accepted after midnight Paramus, New Jersey Time Tuesday, February 26, 2008!

Except for the final exam, absolutely no assignments will be accepted after midnight Paramus, New Jersey Time Tuesday, May 6, 2008!
