WELCOME TO THE COURSE

I would like to tell you something about myself.

I think it is important in an online course that students get to "know" their teacher as much as is possible in comparison to a face to face classroom.
I know that you can't see me, hear me, or watch my facial expressions as you might in a "real time" classroom to try to "read the teacher" as we all have done in typical classroom settings.

That is the reason that I have included an audio introduction.

Background Information

I came originally from the Midwest-Illinois-to the Northeast, specifically, to be on the faculty of Bergen Commuity College.  Before coming to New Jersey, I taught English at Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois.
Before that, I was a graduate assistant at Western Illinois University.
