    • Course Description

    This course is a second level course in the nursing sequence which focuses on the health care of individual and families who have needs related to fluid and electrolytes, oxygenation, and circulation.  Students will use the nursing process in a variety of health care settings to assist individuals, families, and groups to achieve optimum health.  This course runs for half the semester with Adult Health Nursing IIB.  Students may elect to take either course before the other.

    • Course Requirements

    Three tests which will equal 100% of the grade.  Each test will have 50 multiple choice questions.

    “Pass” clinical grade

    An >80% math passing grade

    • Clinical Requirements

    One satisfactory nursing care plan and assessment of BCF relative to USCRs of Air and Water

    One satisfactory teaching plan

    One satisfactory therapeutic communication assignment
