Finding Journal ArticlesThe major database of journal articles in medicine and related fields is PubMed ( free Medline). CINAHL (Cumulated Index for Nursing and Allied Health Literature) is an excellent database of journal articles in nursing and allied health fields. Some health sciences publications are also indexed in the general periodical databases listed on the library home page as Frequently Used Databases (under "Find Articles"). All of these databases link to some full text articles. The Journal Titles List includes all the periodicals to which the Library subscribes, in both electronic and print/paper format. Print periodicals are located on the Main floor and arranged alphabetically by title. Periodicals not available in this library may be obtained through InterLibrary Loan.
Books and media in the Sidney Silverman Library may be found by
searching using the "Find Books" search box on the Library's home
page. Materials in the medical and health areas have call numbers
beginning with R. Many, but not all nursing materials have call
numbers beginning with RT. STAT!Ref
