Confidential Staff


  • Carol Clarke – Carol’s career at the College began in 2003 as Secretary in the Division of Continuing Education, where she enjoyed interacting with both students and staff on a daily basis.  From 2006 – 2007, she had the opportunity to work in the Offices of Technology & Information Services and the Executive Vice President, since 2008 she has been working in the President’s Office. Carol believes the Staff Senate would serve an important role in upholding the mission of the College, and if selected as a member would be interested in addressing issues regarding staff development and promoting community relationships within the College.
  • Diana Davis - As a member of the human resources department at Bergen Community College, Diana is proud to be a part of a team that ensures BCC is perceived as a good place to work and can distinguish ourselves from other schools.  Among many other initiatives, HR helps to set policies and procedures that define our culture and ensure that we recruit the best talent to achieve our vision and continue to engage our staff.  As a member of the Staff Senate, Diana feels she can utilize her experience to advise on issues and concerns that are important to staff and that also support the vision and the mission of the College.  
  • Dawn Kozlowski - Dawn believes that this opportunity will promote the sharing of responsibility with administration, faculty and students in the governance of the college.  Serving on the staff senate will foster effective communication between all constituents and will increase a sense of unity and cooperation within the college.
  • Catherine Krostek - She would like to be a Staff Senate representative because she believes people working together can make a difference.  Most recently, Cathy chaired the Directory subcommittee of the Communication Task Force.  As part of her commitment to communication, she volunteered to update contact information for the college’s employee directory on the SharePoint intranet.  All but 50 or so full-time employees responded to her emails and calls, and she completed updating preferred names, locations and extensions in Datatel in November. Human Resource staff has started updating titles and departments.  She has had many positive comments from faculty and staff that are using the list.  The Communication Task Force made recommendations to ensure that the employee directory stays up-to-date, and she would like to be a part of following up to see that procedures are put in place, as well as addressing many other issues at the college that need attention.
  • Christian Mdeway - Christian is interested in gaining additional knowledge of this structured governance, but also has a great deal of experience in understanding students, faculty, and staff.  He has successfully understood the direction of leadership as it is communicated and translating that into the day to day workplace; while understanding the balance.  Change and being a change agent is a critical component of growth that he has taken on effectively in his career with proper communication.  His diverse and successful experiences have afforded him the knowledge and opportunities that would add great value in this leadership team.
