Qualifications:

Accounting

Required: Master Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Tax, or Finance. Applicants must hold a current CPA or CMA license. College level teaching experience preferred.

ALP-Speech (ESL):

Required: Master’s degree in TESOL or Applied Linguistics; at least two years of experience teaching ESL speaking/listening at the college level. Applicant must be available to teach day or evening sections in Paramus and/or Lyndhurst.

 

American Sign Language (ASL):

Required:  Master’s degree in American Sign Language/Deaf Studies or Bachelor’s degree and minimum two years teaching experience at high school and/or college level.  Applicant must be willing to teach both day and/or evening classes in Paramus and/or Lyndhurst.

 

Arabic:

Required: Master's degree in Arabic Language or Literature; two years teaching experience at the high school or college level. Applicant must be available  to teach day and/or evening sections in Paramus and/or Lyndhurst.

 

Biology:

Required: Master’s degree in Biology or related clinical field, one year of college level teaching experience required.  Applicant must be available to teach day or evening sections in Paramus and/or Lyndhurst.

 

Business Administration

Required: Master Degree in Business Administration, or related Business area. College level teaching experience preferred.

Chemistry:

Required: Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field, one year of college level teaching experience required.  Applicant must be available to teach day or evening sections in Paramus and/or Lyndhurst.

 

College Level Mathematics:

Required: Master’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics, one year of college mathematics teaching experience required.  Applicant must be available to teach day or evening sections in Paramus and/or Lyndhurst.

 

Computer Science

Required: Master’s degree in the field or equivalent and one year of college level teaching experience.

 

Criminal Justice

Required: Master’s degree in the field or equivalent and one year of college level teaching experience.

 

Developmental Math:

Required: Master’s degree in Mathematics or Math Education, one year of High school or college developmental mathematics teaching  experience  required.  Applicant must be available to teach day or evening sections in Paramus and/or Lyndhurst.

 

Earth Science:

Required: Master’s degree in geology, meteorology or related field, one year of college level teaching experience required.  Applicant must be available to teach day or evening sections in Paramus and/or Lyndhurst.

 

English Basic Skills
Required:  Master’s degree in English, English Education, Composition/Rhetoric, Reading or related field; at least one year experience teaching developmental English to diverse populations, preferably at a community college. 

 

English Composition And Literature:

Required:  Master's Degree in English, Composition/Rhetoric, or related field.  At least one year experience teaching college-level English to diverse populations, preferably at a community college.  Strong interest in theory and practice of teaching English Composition and experience with English language learners and students with special needs preferred.

 

First Year Experience Course (Success 101):

Required: Master’s Degree; at least one year teaching first-year students in a multi-cultural setting in a community college and familiarity with teaching in an interactive, experiential, student-centered learning environment. Experience with diverse learning styles including developmental and/or ESL populations preferred.  Candidate should also possess strong advising skills, empathy and a willingness to relate to students on a personal level and be comfortable addressing all types of personal and social issues. Applicant must be willing to teach both day and evening classes in Paramus, Hackensack or Lyndhurst.

 

French:
Required:  Master’s degree in French Language or Literature; two years teaching experience at the high school or college level.  Applicant must be available  to teach day or evening sections in Paramus and/or  Lyndhurst. 

 

Geography

Required: Master’s degree in Geography or eighteen graduate credits in Geography and graduate coursework in relevant field such as historical geography, political economy, or international relations.

 

Hotel Restaurant Management

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel-Restaurant Management or Hospitality Administration, plus three to five years Hospitality industry experience or three to five years teaching Hospitality or Hotel-Restaurant Management at the college level


Italian:

Required:  Master’s degree in Italian Language or Literature; two years teaching experience at the high school or college level.  Applicant must be available to teach  day or evening sections in Paramus and Lyndhurst. 

 

Philosophy:
Required: Master's degree in Philosophy required. College-level teaching experience in Philosophy preferred. Must be qualified to teach one or more of the following courses: Introduction to Philosophy; Critical Thinking and Informal Logic; Contemporary Moral Issues; Eastern Philosophy; Social and Political Philosophy.

Physics:

Required: Master’s degree in Physics, Engineering or related field, one year of college level teaching experience required.  Applicant must be available to teach day or evening sections in Paramus and/or Lyndhurst.

 

Psychology

Required:  Master’s degree in the field or equivalent and one year of college level teaching experience.

 

Religion:

Required: Master's degree in Religion or in cognate area required. College-level teaching experience in Religion preferred. Must be qualified to teach one or both of the following courses: Introduction to Religion; Religions of the World.

 

Sociology

Required: Master’s degree in the field or equivalent and one year of college level teaching experience.

 

Spanish:

Required:  Master’s degree in Spanish Language or Literature; two years teaching experience at the high school or college level.  Applicants must be available  to teach day or evening sections in Paramus and/or  Lyndhurst.

 

Speech Communication:
Required:  Master’s degree in Speech Communication or related field; one year college level teaching experience. Must be willing to teach both day and/or evening classes in Paramus, and/or Lyndhurst.

 

Wellness and Exercise Science – Aquatics:
Required: Master’s degree in field, or equivalent, with experience in teaching aquatics. Red Cross Certification, CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.
