Provides secretarial and administrative support to the Division of Continuing Education, Corporate and Public Sector Training by performing secretarial and administrative duties including but not limited to answering the telephone, handling front desk inquiries, processing student registrations and payments, evaluations, preparing mailing lists, contractual letters and certificates and reports, as well as, assisting with events.  Will manage and maintain various databases.  Will work with students, which includes extensive telephone and personal contact, with the general public, faculty, staff, students and government agencies while providing support for programs/courses. 


Required:  High School Graduate or equivalent required.  Secretarial School studies and/or college courses a plus. Associates Degree preferred. Three years of secretarial/office experience and/or customer service related positions.  Must have experience writing/generating correspondence and reports.  Experience in an educational/higher education setting, assisting students, is a plus.  Bookkeeping experience preferred; Datatel experience strongly preferred.  Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; must be driven to provide excellent customer service with ability to handle inquiries of diverse and multicultural students, staff, faculty and visitors with sensitivity and diplomacy in person and on telephone; must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with ability to multitask and continuously prioritize tasks and responsibilities; must be self-motivated, proactive with completing assignments and detail oriented; Must be punctual, reliable, flexible and exhibit professional appearance and demeanor;  must be a team player as well as ability to work independently with minimal supervision and ability to make routine decisions; must be computer literate in Microsoft Office and willing to continuously develop computer skills and learn new programs and applications;
