Title: College Nurse (BSN, RN)

The College Nurse will provide routine medical care and emergency first aid to students, staff and visitors for full spectrum of medical conditions.  Responsibilities will include but are not limited to rendering treatment for injuries sustained during incidents/accidents on campus; interfacing with appropriate campus personnel and ambulance staff to assure timely, competent care; facilitating access to referrals for follow-up care in cases of emergent medical conditions and physical trauma; providing support, as requested by the Personal Counselors in the event of mental health crises; tracking and insuring compliance with immunization requirements; performing additional tasks or duties as assigned.


Required:  BS in Nursing, NJ state RN Licensure, BLS certification is required.  Experience in hospital nursing, mental health background and 1-3 years’ experience in a college health setting is preferred.  Must possess proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite; excellent interpersonal, customer service, oral and written communication skills; ability to exercise good judgment, as well as, ability to discreetly handle confidential information; familiarity with Assessment Planning/Annual Reporting; excellent organizational skills; ability to be a team player, as well as, ability to work independently with minimal supervision; sound judgment capability and ability to make routine decisions; ability to work respectfully and communicate effectively with a diverse student and employee population.  Must be able to travel to the College’s different locations based on student needs; ability to walk up/down stairs and between campus buildings; must be mobile; may be required to lift up to 20 lbs.
