Global Email Distribution List Request

Use this form to request a global email distribution list.

The Bergen Community College policy is that OIT will setup a Global Distribution Group under the following conditions.

The group must be useful for and have the potential to be used by a large and significant group of Bergen email users.

The requestor must supply a list name made up of English words conveying a clear idea of the purpose served by the list.

The requestor must agree to accept some responsibilities.

Maintain the membership of the list adding and deleting user names on a daily basis as needed to maintain the usefulness of the list.

Notify OIT when the list has reached the end of it usefulness.

Take responsibility for keeping good order among the communications sent to the list, and discourage any abuse of the list.

Under normal circumstances the list owner will be required to do the maintenance functions in person, without intervention by OIT.

Email this form to the Help Desk. OIT will setup the list for you and notify you when it is ready to be turned over to your ownership. When you email this form to the Help Desk you are agreeing to accept the list ownership responsibilities.
