The 1-2-3 Connect Program offers the following unique opportunities in academics:

Developmental Math (MAT)

  • Math-Guided Self-Paced Mastery: Computer-Based Basic Math and Algebra classes are available in the new Developmental Math HUB.  By having students actually “Do the Math” and by providing students with the individual help they need to succeed, students are becoming active learners rather than passive note takers.  Our new Guided Self-Paced Mastery program has improved student success and is changing the way students learn math.

Math Hub Hours

  • Monday 9:00am-9:00pm
  • Tuesday 9:00am-9:00pm
  • Wednesday 9:00am-9:00pm
  • Thursday 9:00am-9:00pm
  • Friday 9:00am-3:00pm

English Basic Skills (EBS)

  • Paired EBS Courses: Students can take EBS classes that are paired with a content course, such as Introduction to Psychology, Success 101, and other general education courses. The teachers in each course will work together to help students understand the content more completely and to write more effectively.
  • Accelerated English: Students who do well in their first semester of EBS 011 can apply to “accelerate” their English requirement by skipping EBS 012 and instead taking EBS 033 (2 cr.) paired with Composition 1 (WRT 101, 3 cr.).

    Success 101 (IST 123)

    • Taken in the first semester, Success 101 is a first-year experience course that helps students develop ways to make positive and informed choices that lead to successful life, academic, and career goals.  Emphasis is placed on self-exploration and goal setting, written and oral communication skills, critical thinking, time management, and life skills (3 credits).
