Honors at Bergen

Three Types of Honors Distinction at Bergen

1.     JKW School of Honors is an academic program that offers Honors courses with small class sizes and the most scholarly faculty, honors advising, and conference opportunities. Given the GPA of 3.4 or higher, or a recommendation, any new, transfer or continuing student can enroll in the program by taking an Honors class, without a waiting period of any kind. Honors students are also automatically members of the Honors Association, which is a student run organization that supports the mission of the School of Honors. See www.bergen.edu/honors

2.     Honor Societies

  • Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society is the Official Honor Society for two-year colleges. Students who meet the requirements are invited to join the society by the college President via mail. Once inducted, Phi Theta Kappa members gain access to over $87 million in scholarship opportunities.
