Immunization Requirements

All full-time students (12 credits or more per semester) are required by NJ state law to submit proof of immunity to measles, mumps,and rubella. Full-time students who started at BCC in the Fall of 2008 or later must also submit proof of immunity to Hepatitis B. The immunization requirement may be satisfied by either vaccination or blood test. Please see the Immunization Requirements form for more information.

Part-time students (11 credits or less per semester)in the general academic program are NOT required to submit vaccinations or blood tests. Part-time students in Nursing or the Health Professions programs MUST submit all mandatory immunizations and blood tests as detailed in their acceptance packet.

Full-time students in the general academic program born before 1957 are NOT required to submit documentation of immunity to measles, mumps and rubella. However, they must comply with the Hepatits B requirement, showing proof of immunity by either vaccination or blood test. There is no age exemption for Hepatitis B.

Students in the Nursing Program or in the Health Professions programs MUST submit documentation of all required vaccinations and blood tests. See the Health Professions Immunization Checklist for requirements Upon admission to these programs, students receive a packet containing all necessary medical and immunization forms. Timely compliance with ALL requirements is mandatory for continuing in any of the Nursing or Health Professions programs. There are NO vaccination/blood test exemptions for students in these programs.
