BCCFA Executive Committee Officers Present: Peter Helff, President; Steven Ryan, Vice President; Eric Lubot, Treasurer; George Cronk, Secretary
1. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Eric Lubot at 2:40 PM.
2. The minutes of the meeting of May 2, 2000, were reviewed and approved without objection.
3. The election of a new Chairperson of the Representative Assembly was conducted.
a. Nominees were Fred Golub, Alan Kaufman, and Kevin Sullivan.
b. Kevin Sullivan was elected on the first ballot.
4. Old Business: BCCFA Treasurer’s Report (Eric Lubot).
a. Eric Lubot presented a Financial Report covering the fiscal years 1994-95 through 1999-2000 (Financial Report attached hereto). Following discussion, the Financial Report was approved without objection (with one member abstaining).
b. Eric Lubot then presented the proposed BCCFA Budget for the 2000-2001 fiscal year (Budget attached hereto). Following discussion, the Budget was approved without objection, with the proviso that the members take the Budget back to their departments and disciplines for review (especially on the “Socials” component of the Budget) and that they report back on this matter at the next Representative Assembly meeting.
5. Peter Helff reported on the College administration’s delays and confusions in issuing overload checks and in making appropriate adjustments for the faculty raises established in the recent negotiated settlement between BCC and the BCCFA.
6. The meeting was adjourned at 3:43 PM.
