Jim Bumgardner (Producer/Asst. Professor)has been on the faculty at BCC since 2002. He teaches theatre courses as well as produces all of the BCC student theatre productions. Some of his favorite shows that he has directed at BCC have been "Godspell", "A Funny Thing Happened On the Way To the Forum", and "Kindertransport". During his summers, Jim is the Assistant to the Producing Director and also directs and is a set designer at the Cortland Repertory Theatre in Cortland, NY, where he has directed "Damn Yankees", "Mousetrap", "South Pacific", "The Music Man", "Fiddler on the Roof", "Deathtrap", "The Star-Spangled Girl", "Steel Magnolias", and "Moonlight and Magnolias". Jim is a member of SAG, AFTRA, and Actors’ Equity Association and has performed in film, television and on stage both nationally and internationally. He received his MFA from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY and his BA from St. Andrews Presby, college in Laurinburg, NC.
