Bergen room

The Bergen Room offers a formal setting for full table service on the Paramus Campus, and is open for Lunch on Wednesdays and for Dinner on Thursdays during the Spring Semester.

This laboratory class gives each student a chance to rotate through a variety of positions. Every week one student will be manager of the day. As the Student manager, they will plan the menu, prepare the requisition, create theme and calculate food costs. The remaining students are assigned stations for food production, and service. Students switch between stations, including Manager, Maître d’hôtel , Chef, Sous Chef, Garde Manger, Pastry Chef, Steward, Chef de Rang, and Dishwasher, etc. during the semester.

The Dining Room accommodates approximately 35-40 patrons at each seating. Space is limited and reservations are required.

To request Reservations call (201) 447-7222. The request can be left on voicemail. Be sure to include your full name, a phone number you can be reached at, number of people in your party, day and time. Phone calls will be returned on the next day of class to confirm status of request.
