NJ Business Incubation Network

NJBIN is a collaborative statewide community of business experts and resource facilities dedicated to enhancing the commercial success of early stage and expansion stage entrepreneurial companies.  Young companies receive critical support services and flexible space in a professional business environment. Some of the facilities have wet labs as well as office space.

If you are a business in need of financing to grow in New Jersey, a not-for-profit organization seeking capital to expand community services, a municipality looking to attract a major corporation within your boundaries, or a developer requiring funds for a major redevelopment project, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA) is a place to go.

New Jersey Business Action Center

The BAC is under the leadership of Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno, and plays a key role in helping grow, retain and attract business to the State. The center serves as a “one-stop” shop for New Jersey businesses of all sizes.  BAC promotes New Jersey as a business investment location nationally and internationally. BAC will walk companies through the state’s financial and business incentive programs, provide permitting and regulatory assistance and site selection as well as helping find partners for joint ventures and strategic alliances.

NJ Small Business Administration

The U.S. Small Business Administration and its nationwide network of partners help millions of potential and current small business owners start, grow and succeed.  They administer resources and programs targeting small businesses to help them  compete effectively in the marketplace and strengthen the overall U.S. economy. SBA offers counseling, help obtaining  Capital, assistance with contracting and disaster Assistance.  The also offer Advocate and act as Ombudsman on behalf of small businesses.

The New Jersey Small Business Development Center (NJSBDC) is the recognized leader in delivering management consulting and training programs to nascent entrepreneurs, start-ups and existing small businesses as well as specialized and more advanced services to high-impact, growth-oriented businesses.  The Bergen County Small Business Development Center is associated with Bergen County Community College and is located in Hackensack.

JumpStart

Jumpstart is a private, member-lead, angel group that invests in early-stage technology companies in the Mid-Atlantic region. As the leading angel group in New Jersey, Jumpstart members include many successful entrepreneurs, business executives and venture capitalists in the region.  It was formed in 2002 with the active support of New Jersey Technology Council (NJTC) and New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA).

NJ Clean Energy Resource Network (NJCERN)

NJ CERN is a state-wide initiative led by the Rutgers EcoComplex and the Meadowlands Business Accelerator.  It is designed to assist renewable energy and energy efficiency companies grow and prosper in New Jersey.  The resource database brings together, in one place, a wide range of valuable business resources including, State and Federal renewable energy and energy efficiency incentives, business financing opportunities, policies and permitting information, business development assistance and green job training. The NJBPU Office of Clean Energy is providing funding for this site to maintain the highest quality of information and service for its users.
