Message from the Dean

Linda EmrBergen Community College has almost a 50 year history of serving Bergen County with locations in Paramus (1965), Hackensack (1970), and Lyndhurst (2008).

Situated in an attractive setting near the DeKorte Park Environmental Center and the future sight of the DreamWorks Theme Park, BCC at the Meadowlands has grown from a student body of 430 in 2008 to currently over 2000.

Our modern, five floor complex includes seven computer labs, two brand new, state-of-the-art science labs, a full-service library, and forty new classrooms, many with a panoramic view of the Meadowlands and the New York City skyline.

Most important for all of us here at the Meadowlands is our mission to provide a complete range of academic and job training services designed to prepare students for a smooth transition to a four year university or right into the region's service-sector economy.

Included on site is a unique support service, the Meadowlands Regional Accelerator, that is committed to helping entrepreneurial ventures develop into successful businesses.

Whether you are looking to begin your college career, improve your current job skills, or simply start an adventure in learning, our dedicated faculty and staff is prepared to help you every step of the way.

I want to extend a warm welcome to everyone and share with you my sincere hope that Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands will be an important part of your future.

Regards,

Linda Emr
Dean of BCC at the Meadowlands
