Ms. Codding has served the College in a variety of academic and professional positions since 1985 when she began as an adjunct instructor of Spanish. She became a professor of Spanish shortly thereafter. Along with her academic work, Codding has served as Bergen’s Coordinator of Federal Funded Projects (1985-1991), the Dean of Humanities (1992-1996), an Academic Coordinator (1996-2006) and, most recently, the Interim Dean of Arts and Humanities (2006-2007).

Ms. Codding also has published multiple works, including a textbook titled Empecemos (Let's Start). She has served as a guiding force behind the College’s Study Abroad Program, remained instrumental in the construction of Bergen’s newest academic building, West Hall, and been recognized by The National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development with the "Excellence in Teaching" Award. Additionally, Ms. Codding received the Employee Recognition Award in 2002, serves as adviser of the Latin American Student Association and chairs the Latino Heritage Committee.
