Philip J. Ciarco III
Vice Chairman, Board of Trustees
Phil Ciarco, of Lyndhurst was appointed to the Bergen Community College Board of Trustees in 2001. In addition to his work as a trustee, Mr. Ciarco has served on the Bergen Community College Foundation Board of Directors for the past 15 years.
Outside of the College, Mr. Ciarco is an active participant in many civic and community organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation, where he served as fundraising chairman of the just completed New Jersey Wish House, the Bergen County 200 Club, where he serves as vice president, and is a longtime sponsor of the Lyndhurst Little League, benefactor of the Lyndhurst Academic Awards, the Lyndhurst Scholarship as well as involved with many other organizations.
Mr. Ciarco is the president of Cricket Management, LLC, a property management company, was the founder of Cricket Converters, Inc., a printing firm, and a former seventh grade teacher and Lyndhurst High School athletics coach. He earned his undergraduate degree from Iowa Wesleyan College from which he received an honorary Doctorate degree and served as the commencement speaker in 2006. Mr. Ciarco and his wife Kathleen have two children and seven grandchildren.
