E. Carter Corriston
Chairman of the Board of Trustees
E. Carter Corriston, of Englewood Cliffs, was first appointed to the Bergen Community College Board of Trustees in 1993, and served as Chairman from 1997 to 2004. He was re-elected as Chairman in November 2009 and continues to serve to the present.
He is a Senior Partner with the law firm Breslin and Breslin, P.A., and has worked with many municipalities regarding zoning and municipal law. Additionally, he has served as the Municipal Attorney for the Township of River Vale and the Township of Mahwah. Also, he was Borough Attorney for Englewood Cliffs from 1995 to 2010 and as of 2012, is currently serving again as Borough Attorney. For nearly 30 years, he served as a Councilman in Englewood Cliffs.
Mr. Corriston is the current counsel to the Housing Authority of Bergen County, a post he has held since 1976. He also serves as Director of the Fordham Law School Alumni Association and President of the Northern New Jersey Fordham Law Alumni Association.
Mr. Corriston received a B.A. from Rutgers University and his law degree from Fordham University.
