Cid D. Wilson
Vice Chairman, Board of Trustees
Cid D. Wilson, of Leonia, current Vice Chairman of the Board, was appointed to the Bergen Community College Board of Trustees in 2006 and served as Secretary from 2007 to 2009. He is Senior Research Analyst for Cabrera Capital Markets, LLC, in New York City. In 2009, he was appointed by President Barack Obama to serve on the National Museum of the American Latino Study Commission.
In 2006, Forbes ranked Mr. Wilson as the #1 "Specialty Retailing Analyst" in the nation. He is a Life Member of the NAACP and serves on the national board of directors for the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) and LatinoJustice PRLDEF. From 2004-2006, he served as the National President of the Dominican American National Roundtable in Washington, D.C. In 2006, New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine named Mr. Wilson to his Property Tax Reform Policy Team. In 2011, Mr. Wilson was elected as National Chairman-elect to the Association of Community College Trustees Diversity Committee (2012-2013). He has delivered speeches at the White House on several occasions.
Mr. Wilson is a nationally renowned Afro-Latino corporate and community leader who has used his corporate success to advocate for educational excellence. He routinely speaks at various schools and colleges, mostly as a keynote speaker. Mr. Wilson's corporate and civic successes have been documented in the national media. He is also a routine guest commentator on TV shows including “New Jersey Now” on WWOR-TV (Secaucus, My-9) and “Tiempo” on WABC-TV (New York).
Mr. Wilson received his degree in Economics from The Ohio State University and completed Executive Education Studies on Corporate Governance at Harvard Business School.
