STEM "GPS" stands for STEM "Graduation Pathway to Success." Bergen Community College received a $3.8 million Hispanic-Serving Institution Science, Technology, Engineering and Math grant from the U.S. Department of Education to help students succeed in the STEM fields.
Goal 1: To increase the recruitment and persistence of STEM students at BCC as well as of students in the Education A.S. Program who are preparing to become science / math teachers.
Goal 2: To improve the graduation rates as well as the transfer rates to four-year institutions of students enrolled in STEM programs as well as of students enrolled in the Education A.S. Program at BCC.
Goal 3: Enable more Data-Based Decision making to improve student outcomes and inform program development and articulation.
