Observe
the Night Skies through Reflecting Telescopes
The Emil Buehler Trust Observatory invites
the public to share the majesty of space through state-of-the-art,
16-inch reflecting telescopes in the Technology Education
Center, on the Paramus campus.
The free viewings are open to the
public on Friday evenings, from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. Please
note the new times.
In the event of inclement weather, viewings will be cancelled.
The
Paramus Bergen Community College Rotary Club is collecting
donations for the Gift of Life to help children in need.
Boxes are located in the Cafeteria, Cyber Cafe, and Dunkin
Donuts in the Student Center. Donations also can be made to
the Paramus BCC Rotary. For additional information, please

The Rotary Club also is collecting used notebooks and school-related
supplies to send to children in Santo Domingo.
CERT Training Starts February 22
Bergen Community College's
Department of Public Safety and the Bergen County Office of
Emergency Management present CERT (Community Emergency Response
Team). Bergen's CERT team is comprised of members of the College
community, including faculty, staff and students, who in the
event of a major crisis will be trained to offer critical
support to first responders by providing disaster survival
and rescue relief.
CERT training classes will be held every Wednesday, February
22 to April 18,
6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Room C-325. There will be no class on March
21 due to Spring Break.

College Presents Food Pantry to Help Students in Need
Bergen Community College has a Food
Pantry to help students who are in need. It is located in
the Center for Health, Wellness and Personal Counseling, Room
HS-100 (next to the Testing Center and across from the Gymnasium).
If you are aware of students in need, please inform them of
the Food Pantry or send them to HS-100. Students will be assisted
in a respectful and confidential manner.
The Center accepts donations of grocery store food cards in
any amount. You also may send a donation by check. Please
make the check payable to: The BCC Foundation, with a notation
on your check indicating “Loaves & Fishes Fund.”
Checks may be sent directly to the BCC Foundation, c/o Laurie
Francis, Scoskie Hall.
